Depending on the industry your business is in, summer could be one of the less busy seasons for you. Therefore, you can do all the ramp up and installations you need to do while your business isn’t busy. Make sure you are not scrambling to get everyone ready to go once they come back from vacation. Plan the implementation and training, and you can even do these things in smaller groups over a longer amount of time so that it interferes with your business even less.
Upgrading your fleet management technology can really be done at any time but picking a time when it will likely interfere the least with running your business and give your employees a chance to get used to the new system is important. If summer isn’t the time when your employees take vacation or it isn’t the slower time for your business then consider what that time is for your business and consider implementing the upgrade at that time of year so it doesn’t stop or interfere too much with running your daily operations.
